Therapy for adults going through a period of change
If you're an adult going through a period of change, burnout, anxiety, or an emotional block, you'll find information here about who therapy is for, how it begins, and what sessions are like in person or online.
You don’t have to reach a certain level of distress before asking for support. If you feel that the pace of life has become overwhelming or that anxiety is taking up too much space in your mind, therapy offers a safe place to gain clarity.
Adults experiencing burnout often try to manage on their own until they’ve used up all their inner resources. Therapy isn’t a sign of weakness, but a mature decision to give yourself the attention you deserve and understand the relationship or behavioral patterns that are keeping you stuck.
The relationship between you and your therapist is the foundation for lasting change. It’s natural—and even recommended—to consider whether you feel understood, respected, and safe during our sessions.
If you feel we’re not the right fit, I encourage you to talk to me openly about it. My role is to support you through your process, and sometimes that may mean helping you find another specialist you connect with more. Your honesty is essential to the therapeutic process.
Everyone has their own pace for processing and integrating change. There’s no set timeframe, because your goals are tailored to your needs, whether you’re managing a period of crisis or exploring yourself more deeply.
We’ll check in on your progress regularly and talk about how you feel about the changes in your day-to-day life. Therapy ends when you feel you have the tools you need to work through difficulties on your own while maintaining your emotional balance and clarity.
